  • Enzymatic hydrolysis. The filtrate is acidified to pH 5-7, 0.5-1% enzyme (such as amylase, cellulase, or β-glucosidase, etc.) is added, and hydrolysis is carried out at 40-50°C for 15-20 hours to obtain a hydrolyzate.
  • Extraction. The hydrolyzate is concentrated to 1/10 to 1/15 of the original volume, and ethyl acetate is added for stirring extraction. Then, the ethyl acetate is recovered by decompression to obtain an extract.
  • Recrystallization. The extract is recrystallized thrice using 80-95% methanol to finally obtain a yellow needle-shaped crystalline kaempferol product.
