BASF Plant Officially Announces Explosion!

BASF SE, formerly known as Badische Anilin- und Sodafabrik, is the world’s largest chemical producer with its headquarters in Ludwigshafen.

On July 29, 2024, an explosion and subsequent fire occurred at the BASF plant in Ludwigshafen, Germany. A leak of organic solvents caused the explosion and subsequent fire.
