L-Tyrosine is a non-essential for the body is able to manufacture it.  The body is able to produce L-Tyrosine because of the amino acid phenylalanine. L-Tyrosine is also said to be the forerunner of some neurotransmitters such as dopamine, epinephrine and norepinephrine making L-Tyrosine affect many vital functions of the body including mood, focus and retention. In addition, L-Tyrosine is also known to produce other beneficial chemicals in the body including melanin, pigment accountable for hair and skin tint.
