What Is Polydatin?

Polydatin is a natural compound and belongs to the stilbenoid polyphenol family. It is extracted from different plant families such as Vitaceae, Liliaceae, and Leguminosae. Its primary source of extraction is the rhizome and root of Polygonum cuspidatum, which has been traditionally used to treat inflammation, infection, jaundice, skin burns, and hyperlipemia. Reynoutria japonica is now the main source of polydatin on an industrial scale.
